All our Access to Higher Education courses (and our QCF Teaching Assistant Courses) have an inclusive option to take a refresher course in Functional Skills (Level 2 for English & Maths), that is also Distance Learning based.
FREE when part of one of our Access to HE Courses:
NOTE: You MUST check that your preferred University will accept these Level 2 courses instead of GCSE’s, as NOT every University accepts them as alternatives to GCSE’s.
It is our experience that those learners who did NOT achieve GCSE (Grade C or above) WILL BENEFIT from including this in their overall choice of course, so select your course carefully if you want to include these extra courses too. You will need to complete them too though to get your Access to HE course or QCF course if you choose this option!
You will be sent course specific virtual learning environment (VLE) access Course codes/details, as they run as separate VLE courses from your Access to HE course and you may be allocated different tutors too, for each speciality.
When taking these courses (WITHOUT signing up at the same time and then taking at the same time an Access to HE course) with Ixion College.
