This Social Media Diploma course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work with social media to increase sales, potential leads and drive improved customer communication. This course is for anyone who is looking to gain experience with Social Media or for those who want to implement a social media strategy in their job or business or in their career with an employer. This new course will fill a skills gap experienced by many businesses today and will show you how to develop a business’s presence in the marketplace using the latest techniques and technologies. Everything from understanding SEO, planning campaigns, targeting customers, advertising campaigns using social media through to the legal side of things and customer service delivery.

Course Eligibility

No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before learners register for this qualification. However, you will need to have regular permission and access to social media platforms to be used for their business, be seeking work within any business sector which uses social media regularly, or they may already be employed in a cross-sector role of function that involves responsibility for carrying out and managing social media operations and functions.

How will I learn?

Learning will be via Distance Learning. Your course will be delivered through online assessment using our latest Virtual Learning Environment, one to one tutorials and discussions with your Tutor (phone, e-mail & face-to-face Skype), group web-based webinars and through production of product evidence. You will be expected to typically commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week independent study to suit your personal circumstances. This is the recommended guideline to support you to achieve.

A requirement to develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that supports competence in the use of social media in a realistic work environment.

How will my work be assessed?

There are a range of assessment techniques for the subjects covered which include online assignments using our Virtual Learning Environment, reflective accounts, witness testimonies, subject related discussions with your tutor including the production of evidence from undertaking and completing projects. These are all assessed at either pass or fail.

What Qualifications do I need to do this course?

No formal qualifications are required. Just an appropriate command of English, a flair for social media and your drive and enthusiasm to successfully finish the course.
